Police Arrest Killers of Okada Rider in Bonny (BXM-News)
Barely 24 hours after a commercial motorcycle operator was killed in Bonny, headquarters of Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has arrested two male suspects in connection with the incident.
Though details of the arrest of the two men (names withheld) were sketchy as at the time of this report, (Kristina Reports) reliably gathered that the suspects were apprehended somewhere in Andoni LGA.
The two suspected killers of the commercial motorcycle rider at the Bonny Police Station after their arrest.
According to a Police source, who preferred anonymity, the father of one of the suspects who hails from Andoni LGA while asking about his whereabouts was told that he had gone to the village with his accomplice after committing the crime.
He thereafter alerted his kinsmen of the incident, who promptly mobilized the youths of the community to apprehend and hand him over to the Police at Ngo and was subsequently taken to the Area Command Headquarters in Bori, Khana LGA of the State.
The source further disclosed to Kristina Reports that the two suspects were later moved to the Bonny Police Station, where they were currently assisting Police detectives investigating the incident.

Responding to Kristina Reports enquiry on the incident, the Acting Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko confirmed that the Commissioner of Police, Eboka Friday received the report of the incident, and, in his characteristic manner, ordered swift investigation into the matter, which led to the arrest of the suspects.
The Commissioner of Police, according to Iringe-Koko, remains committed to assuring security of lives and property of citizens within the State, and would deploy all resources within his purview to ensure that crime and criminality is checkmated across the State.
The killing of the Okada rider had sparked outrage from other commercial motorcycle operators in Bonny, leading to shut down of their services on the directive of the National Union of road Transport Workers (NURTW) Bonny Branch on Sunday, April 10, 2022.
